I’ve always loved stationery sets, especially as a kid. I wanted to create a holiday-specific kit for parents and kids, as a way to create yearly traditions that are engaging and meaningful. The letter to Santa leads with prompts about memories from the past year, instead of starting with the child’s wishlist. I thought this was an important design decision to prioritize what is most important during the holidays. Each kit is numbered 1 to 99 and includes a place for the child to write their name and make it their own. My favorite part of the kit is probably the holographic foil, but other details include a wax seal of authenticity, Santa’s signature and “workshop inspection” approval stamp, a self-addressed envelope to go straight to the North Pole, a special North Pole Village faux stamp for the envelope, an interactive map that includes places to write in Santa sightings across the globe and the weather, stationery sheets for writing notes to family members and a kiss-cut sticker sheet.
